Prerequisites: To appear for the PMP certification exam, you must fit in either of the following criteria:

  • Secondary degree with minimum 5 years of experience in project management (7500 hours leading projects) and 35 hours of PDU.
  • Higher degree with minimum 3 years of experience in project management (4500 hours leading projects) and 35 hours of PDU.

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

The precursor of the PMP, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is also administered by the PMI. For professionals with rudimentary project management experience or without a college degree, the CAPM is a stepping-stone.

Prerequisites: Associates degree, high-school diploma or equivalent with minimum 1,500 hours of experience in project management OR 23 contact hours of project management education.

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner

The certification divided into two qualifications as, PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner. CompTIA Project+ certification

CompTIA’s Project+ is designed after taking feedback from the entire computing industry, research institutions, academia, government representatives and independent experts to design the certification. It is again an entry level course, yet required experience to get certified.

Prerequisites: To take the CompTIA Project+ certification, one must have 1 year of experience managing, directing or participating in projects.
